Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev, at the invitation of maestro Valery Gergiev, took part in the action in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow. South Ossetian State University and the Nikitsky Botanic Garden of Crimea signed a cooperation agreement in Tskhinval

The A.A. Tibilov South Ossetian State University and the Nikitsky Botanic Garden of Crimea signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Nikitsky Botanical Garden - National Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences” Yuri Plugar.

“This is a very important agreement for both us and you. I’m sure we will succeed,” Tedeev said.

South Ossetian diplomats visited the Russian Foreign Ministry and left an entry in the book of condolences in connection with the terrorist attack in the Crocus

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev, and Ambassador of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, Znaur Gassiev, visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Moscow and left an entry in the book of condolences opened in connection with the tragic events in the Crocus City Hall complex. President of South Ossetia has set the date for elections to the new Parliament

The parliamentary elections in South Ossetia will be held on June 9. The corresponding decree was signed on Monday by President Alan Gagloev, the press service of the head of state reports.

“Schedule the elections of deputies of Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia of a new convocation for June 9, 2024. This decree comes into force from the date of its official publication,” the document says.

Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia, according to the Constitution of the Republic, is characterized as a permanent body.

South Ossetia paid last tributes to Zelim Kharebov, perished during the special military operation

The funeral of Zelim Kharebov, a volunteer from South Ossetia, perished during the combat missions in the area of the village of Rabodino, Zaporozhye region, was held in Tskhinval.

The leadership of South Ossetia, led by President Alan Gagloev, comrades and friends of the deceased, as well as representatives of the public came to pay last tributes to the fighter.

By the decree of President of the Republic, Zelim Kharebov was posthumously awarded the Medal “Defender of the Fatherland.”

Zelim Kharebov was 42 years old. A 6-year-old daughter was left without a father.

The national flag is lowered at half-mast at the South Ossetian Embassy

The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia expressed condolences to the people and government of the Russian Federation in connection with the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall. The national flag of the Republic is flown at half-mast over the Embassy building.

The Embassy sent a telegram of condolences to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Flowers are brought to the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia after the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall

Representatives of the leadership of South Ossetia, led by President Alan Gagloev, laid flowers at the building of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of South Ossetia in memory of those killed in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia sent a note of condolences to the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the tragic consequences of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall.

“South Ossetia received with pain the terrible news about the death of a large number of people at the hands of murderers, who overnight destroyed many human destinies. There is and cannot be any justification for terrorism. We are confident that all those involved in the heinous crime will be identified and will be punished as they deserve,” the text of condolences reads.
