The South Ossetian delegation went to Managua, the capital of a friendly state, to congratulate friends on this important day for all Nicaraguans.

President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, went on a working visit to the Republic of Nicaragua, the press service of the head of state said. Anatoly Bibilov will take part in the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Sandinista revolution.

"During the visit, a series of meetings with the leadership of Nicaragua, as well as delegations participating in the celebrations, are planned," the press service said.

In June of this year, at a meeting with the Vice-President for Health, Member of the Commission on Population of the National Assembly of the Republic of Nicaragua Melvin Agurcia, who arrived in South Ossetia as an international observer for the elections of deputies of Parliament, Anatoly Bibilov reiterated his commitment to developing interstate relations with Nicaragua .

“I invite Daniel Ortega to pay an official visit to South Ossetia. Today I will give instructions to prepare an official invitation,” the president said.

Melvin Agurcia then invited Anatoly Bibilov to visit Nicaragua to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Sandinista revolution.

The delegation of South Ossetia includes Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Nicaragua Narim Kozaev.

On July 19, 1979, the Sandinista National Liberation Front defeated the dictatorship of Anastasio Somoza Debye and began a process of socio- economic transformation for the benefit of the majority of Nicaraguan residents.
