The meeting of the Commission on inter-Parliamentary cooperation between the Parliament of South Ossetia and the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the RF will take place in Tskhinval. It has been reported IA "Res" by the vice-speaker of the Parliament of the RSO Yuri Dzitstsoity. "The next meeting of the commission on inter-Parliamentary cooperation between our countries is planned to be conducted in South Ossetia in the second half of September this year", - has reported Dzitstsoity. He has noted that the similar meetings have been conducting between the legislative bodies of Russia and South Ossetia since 2009, after concluding the agreement on inter-Parliamentary cooperation between the South-Ossetian Parliament and the Council of Federation of the RF.

On 23 May 2011 the Committee of the State Security (KGB) of South Ossetia arrested a citizen of the RSO on suspicion of complicity in cooperating with the Georgian special services This has been reported IA "Res" at the press-service of KGB of the RSO. The criminal proceeding provided with the article. 275 CC RF (the high treason) has been taken against him.

On 29 May- a Day of adopting the Act of Independence of the RSO- the opening of the Republican stadium will take place in Tskhinval. As reported IA "Res" by the State Counsellor of the President of the RSO Zhanna Zasseeva, the inauguration of the stadium will be held in the evening; the main festive actions, dedicated to the 19-th anniversary of adopting the Act of Independence of the RSO will pass there. "It’s some kind of a gift for all the inhabitants of our Republic. We celebrate this day with specific feelings.

Today the delegation from South Ossetia, including the editor-in-chief of a newspaper "South Ossetia" Zalina Tskhovrebova and a journalist of the informational agency "Res" Lana Parastaeva, have left for Israel, where a range of the meetings with the Israeli journalists and businessmen, as well as with the representatives of the ossetian diaspora in this Middle East country, will be held. The visit of the delegation takes place on invitation of the executive manager of the Israeli office of the Worldwide congress of the Russian-speaking Jewry Elion Vilenchik. "In the course of the trip we shall meet with the journalists of the Russian-language publications in Israel for further interaction and expansion of the informational space of South Ossetia.

The authorities of Georgia have blocked the checkpoints on the boundary of South Ossetia and Georgia. As reported IA "Res" by the head of the Administration in Dzauskiy region of the RSO Pavel Kumaritov, .the roads near the settlements Sinagur and Karzman have been blocked. As he says, the Republic of South Ossetia, never made any obstacles for the dwellers of the border villages (mainly of the georgian nationality ),in visiting their relatives, proceeding from the principles of humanity and in spite of the unsettled conflict between the two countries - South Ossetia and Georgia, - in the interests of the peaceful population. The authorities of Georgia have been trying to use this fact in the course of many years, spreading the political agitation among the inhabitants of the Georgian nationality in the settlements Sinagur and Karzman to put them against South Ossetia. "However, - has noted Pavel Kumaritov, - several days ago a special detachment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia from Kutaisi was suddenly brought into the territory neighboring to South Ossetia and the road turned out to be blocked. All the people making their way to Georgia returned back by force".

As it is well known, the disturbances, connected with the unwillingness of the Georgian people to see Mikhail Saakashvili being their president, are going on in Tbilisi, Batumi and in the other cities of Georgia. Saakashvili himself has prudently left the rebellious Tbilisi under pretence of the visit in Hungary. Meantime, the authorities of Georgia put pressure on the carriers finding various reasons (the lack of benzine, repair of a bus and etc) for limiting the suburban communication. But the villagers– on their transport, or on foot - are gathering in the cities. In this connection it deserves attention the fact that even being in agony the authorities of Georgia use discriminating methods towards the population of South Ossetia. So if the suburban communication in Georgia is being blocked on various pretexts, as if not related to the public disorders, the road from Leningorskiy region to Georgia has been blocked strictly without any explanations. But the situation is quite comprehensible for everybody. This outrageous fact testifies of the following. In spite of all assurances of comprehensive care and support of the Georgian inhabitants in Leningorskiy region of South Ossetia, the leadership of Georgia is feeling the extreme mistrust towards them. But if there is mistrust anywhere -there are also the reasons for mistrust. Really, the population of Leningorskiy region has not seen no care, no any attention to their problems on the part of Georgia during the twenty years of occupation.

A book of the honoured cultural worker of the Republic of South Ossetia, a member of the Writers` Union of .the RSO, a member of the international association of the writers` unions, a poet, a prosaist, a publicist and a translator Sergo Mindiashvili "Dyvydon аrty" ("The double .misfortune") has been lately published. The book has been issued in honour of the 70-year jubilee of the poet, at the support and financial aid of the State Committee of Information and Mass communications of the RSO. One-volume edition of the poet includes the selected works written during the 50 years of his creative activity. "The book consists of two parts.

The investigating department of the KGB of South Ossetia has instituted the criminal proceedings on the fact of assaulting upon the border guard detachment under the article 317 of the Law (encroachment upon life of the employee of the law-enforcement body) and under the article 322 (illegal crossing of the State border). It has been reported IA "Res" by the press-service of KGB in the RSO. On 18 May, near the village Lopan in Znaurskiy region the border guard detachment of the Border service of KGB in South Ossetia was fired in the course of patrolling the boundary of South Ossetia.

The President of the Transdniestria Moldavian Republic Igor Smirnov has sent a telegram to the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity on the occasion of the 19-th anniversary of Zarskaya tragedy. In the telegram, in particular, is said: "Dear Eduard Dzhabeevich! On behalf of the leadership of the Transdniestria Moldavian Republic and on behalf of myself personally I express high respect and send the words of empathy and support in this mourning for the people of South Ossetia day. 19 years ago, on 20 May 1992, the monstrous tragedy has occurred in South Ossetia. On Zarskaya road – the single way from the siege Tskhinval to the safe North Ossetia – the Georgian gunmen shot the unarmed refugees. This tragedy, the victims of which became the peaceful inhabitants- women, children and oldsters-has struck the whole civilized world by its cruelty. It testifies, that under the pseudo-peaceful statements of Tbilisi stands the policy of the merciless genocide, conducted with reference to the ossetians.

Four violators of the boundary of the Republic of South Ossetia, detained by the South-Ossetian frontier-guards on 18 May, today have been handed over to the representatives of the European Union and Georgia after the meeting within the framework of the Mechanisms on prevention the incidents on the state border. It has been reported IA "Res" by the Deputy Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on the post conflict settlement Merab Chigoev. "On 18 May one more violator - a citizen of Georgia – who had been detained two days earlier, - was handed over with the other ones. It is, on our part, a humanitarian act, which has to be appreciated ", - has emphasized Chigoev. He has noted that the abovementioned meeting took place in the village Dvani (Georgia) not far from the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia and Georgia on the initiative of the representatives of the mission of the observers of EU for discussing the incident of 18 May.
