The Russian Government has once again confirmed that the situation in South Ossetia is stable and secure

Russian government's decision to expel South Ossetia from the list of countries with the difficult conditions for diplomats once again confirms that the situation in South Ossetia is stable and safe for both citizens and foreigners. This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia David Sanakoev, commenting on the Cabinet decision of the Russian Federation adopted November 28, 2013.

Leonid Tibilov summed up the visit of Vladislav Surkov to South Ossetia

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov held a meeting, where he summarized the results of the working visit to the Republic of the RF Presidential Aide for Cooperation with the CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as the results of the ninth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on socio-economic cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia.

Vladislav Surkov has arrived in South Ossetia on a working visit

Russian Presidential Aide for cooperation with South Ossetia and Abkhazia Vladislav Surkov has arrived in South Ossetia on a three-day working visit. Today Russian official and President Leonid Tibilov visited several facilities under construction, as well as those under restoration in Tskhinval, in Dzau and Znaur districts. In the village of Dzau they have seen the construction of the district hospital and the administration building.

News agency "Res" is marking the 18th anniversary

Today of one of the leading media of South Ossetia - the news agency "Res"- is marking the 18th anniversary of its formation. It was created in a difficult time for the Republic - the initial period of the struggle for independence and the formation of the South Ossetian statehood.
People of South Ossetia chose a course of independence that caused an extremely hostile reaction from the Georgian side, led to open aggression against the young Republic.
