Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia participated in the third Global Forum of Young Diplomats, organized by the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Foreign Ministry, held in Moscow on November 13-15. South Ossetia will take part in the World Cup under the auspices of the Confederation of Independent Football Associations (ConIFA) in 2020, Sergey Zasseev, head of the South Ossetian Youth policy, Sports and Tourism Committee, said at a press conference in Tskhinval.
“We, as winners of the European Championships, officially entered the tournament grid. Ahead of us is the World Cup, which must be held at the level. Undoubtedly, it will become an event of grandiose scale,” Zasseev said.
In Milan, was held a meeting of the initiative group to create the Italy-South Ossetia-Alania Friendship Association with the participation of the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev, who is on a European tour. According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia, the meeting took place in the mansion of the well-known in Italy charitable organization Societa benefica el salvadanee de la montagneta.
