In South Ossetia, it is necessary to build and consolidate at the legislative level a comprehensive system of state support for participants in the special military operation (SVO) and members of their families, Vice-Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia of the VIII convocation Taimuraz Tadtaev said during the press conference in Tskhinval yesterday

According to him, in Russia special attention is paid to individuals who perform the heroic feat of fighting against fascism and nationalism, which has again raised its head in the 21st century.

The Committee on Youth Policy and Sports plans to invite the well-known athletes from North Ossetia to share their experience with the young South Ossetian athletes. Acting head of the Committee Soslan Gassiev announced this at the press conference in Tskhinval.

“Training camps and master classes from experienced athletes will have a good effect on the physical fitness and skill of our athletes, so in the near future we will work in this direction,” Gassiev said.

Gassiev has emphasized that the Committee has many plans for the development of sports.

The Parliament of South Ossetia of the VIII convocation will continue close cooperation with the State Duma and the Federation Council of Russia. As the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Health and Social Policy of South Ossetia, Alexander Pliev, said at the press conference, the next meeting of the South Ossetian parliamentarians with their Russian colleagues was scheduled for October-November of this year.

Tskhinval is expecting that with the participation of Maxim Reshetnikov, the relationship between the ministries of economic development of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation will continue to develop successfully in the spirit of alliance and integration. Gagloev has emphasized that South Ossetia appreciates Reshetnikov’s attentive attitude and the quality of bilateral interaction.

The first Russian World Chess Championship in the history of the Republic will be held in South Ossetia, President of the Chess Federation of the Republic Georgy Shavlokhov has announced at the press conference in Tskhinval.

“In September we are planning to hold the largest chess tournament ever held in South Ossetia. This will be a significant event for us. The sporting event will bring together participants from Russia, Belarus, Abkhazia, Transnistria and several other friendly countries,” Shavlokhov said.

At the BRICS games, the South Ossetian team gained invaluable experience, which they will use in the future in working with young chess players, President of the Chess Federation Georgy Shakhvlokhov said at the press conference in Tskhinval.

The well-known South Ossetian fashion designer, designer Khokh Bekoev will take part in a fashion show as part of the project “Russia - Latin America: Design across Continents,” the fashion designer himself told IA “Res ”.

The fashion show will be the culminating event of the project, in which designers from Russia and Latin America will take part.

In the first half of 2024, 148 violators of the established legal regimes were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia. Of these, 80 are violators of the state border regime, 68 are violators of the border regime, the State Security Committee of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.
