The final version of the Medium-term program for socio-economic development of South Ossetia to 2017 will be approved by the government in the near future.
This has been said by the Minister for Economic Development of the Republic Zalina Khugati in the interview with IA "Res." She noted that the draft program was fully prepared and adopted by the Government of the Republic with some comments and improvement.

At the end of May it is planned to arrange the meeting of relatives of the missing citizens of South Ossetia with the Prosecutor General of Georgia. This was declared by the OSCE co-chairman of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia Andriy Deshchitsa at the briefing in Tskhinval.

Next week in the Netherlands will start "The Days of the Ossetian culture in Europe." A meeting of co-chairs of the Geneva international discussions on security in Transcaucasia with the Presidential Envoy to South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev and members of the South Ossetian delegation at the Geneva talks is being held in Tskhinval.
At the beginning of the meeting the co-chairs were welcomed by Murat Dzhioev, who expressed the hope that their visit would contribute to further progress in the Geneva international process and the strengthening of peace and security in Transcaucasia.
"The challenges facing our talks are crisp - the contribution to safeguarding peace and security in South Ossetia and Abkhazia - said Dzhioev.

The draft program of socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia up to 2017 was adopted at the meeting of the Government of the Republic, held the day before, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Rostislav Khugaev. The meeting was also attended by members of the RSO Parliament.

On Friday and Saturday (May 17-18) the Co-Chairs of the Geneva international discussions on security in Transcaucasia will arrive in the Republic of South Ossetia.

Until the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) recognizes the independence of South Ossetia and the delegation of the Republic has an opportunity to state its position at the PACE sessions, it`s unacceptable to speak of any objectivity of this international organization.

The South Ossetian mixed martial arts fighters will participate in the Open European MMA Championship, which kicks off on June 14 in Kiev (Ukraine).
