The international festival “Ossetia - Russia: common cultural heritage” will be held in South Ossetia on October 23-24. This was reported on the website of the organizer - the Heritage Foundation of Russian Abroad.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev, met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of South Ossetia, Alba Azucena Torres Mejia, the department’s press service reports.
The meeting took place in Moscow on October 20.
“During the conversation, the parties discussed a number of issues regarding the further development of friendly South Ossetian-Nicaraguan relations,” the Foreign Ministry has clarified.
A fighter from South Ossetia, an active participant in the special military operation, Dzambolat Valiev was awarded the medal “For Courage” by the decree of President of Russia. The award was presented to Valiev by the commander of the third reconnaissance and assault detachment Dmitry Khabalov with the call sign “Highlander”.
For this reason, Khabalov and his colleagues came to Tskhinval from the front line of the special military operation.
In Moscow on Wednesday, October 18, a meeting was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev, and Secretary of State of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, Dmitry Mezentsev.
“During the conversation, the practice of interaction and cooperation, primarily in the fields of culture, education, science and sports, implemented by the Standing Committee of the Union State was discussed,” the statement of the Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Russian Federation Bashar Jaafari discussed the development of interaction and cooperation between Tskhinval and Damascus at various levels. This was reported by the press service of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry.
The press service has noted that Dzhioev’s meeting with Jaafari took place in Moscow on Wednesday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev, held a working meeting with Director of the Fourth Department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Denis Gonchar.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, October 17, the press service of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry reports.
“During the conversation, current issues of the South Ossetian-Russian relations were discussed, relating, first of all, to regional security,” the report has noted.
The call by the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to open a “second front” in South Ossetia and Abkhazia is a sign of the clear agony that the Kiev regime is experiencing, said South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev.
Earlier, the Ukrainian leader called on the Georgian leadership to restore “its territorial integrity by opening a second front.”
“When there is defeat after defeat at the front, they are raging, trying to drag the whole world into their adventure,” the head of South Ossetia has noted.
At the joint meeting of the Cooperation Commission of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the issue of developing the tourism industry in South Ossetia was also raised.
Co-chairman of the Commission, Chairman of the RSO Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Zaza Driaev has noted that at the last meeting of the Commission in Moscow this issue was also raised and then they decided to continue discussing the issue of developing the tourism industry.
President Alan Gagloev has received the delegation of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic led by First Deputy of the People's Assembly (Parliament) Dagir Smakuev. The head of state has noted that very warm relations have developed between South Ossetia and Karachay-Cherkessia, representatives of the republics always take part in all events.

The meeting was also attended by Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, Speaker of Parliament Alan Alborov and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary Relations Zaza Driaev.
