South Ossetia will join the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological Weapons

South Ossetia will join the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons as well as Their Destruction of December 16, 1971.

The corresponding decision was made at the session of the Parliament of the Republic on Monday.

The draft law was submitted to the Parliament for consideration by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary relations Zaza Dryaev.

Foreign Minister of South Ossetia expressed condolences to his Syrian counterpart in connection with the earthquake

President of South Ossetia awarded the author of the book "Red Lines" with the Order of Honor

President Alan Gagloev met with Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Combat Veterans of Internal Affairs Bodies and Internal Troops of Russia, statesman and public figure, writer Ivan Solovyov, the press service of the head of state reports.

On Friday, South Ossetian State University hosted a presentation of a book by Russian statesman and public figure, legal scholar, author of scientific, journalistic and fiction books, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation Ivan Solovyov.

The event was attended by representatives of the leadership of South Ossetia, the Russian Embassy, heads of ministries and departments, teachers of the South Ossetian State University, guests from the DPR.

Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia has recommended Zurabishvili to clarify where the borders of her state lie

South Ossetia sincerely hopes that the current Georgian political and military leadership will remain prudent and pragmatic and will not allow the implementation of imposed scenarios that can lead to catastrophic consequences.

This is stated in the comments of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry regarding the statement by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili that Georgian problems associated with ongoing claims to the territory of South Ossetia and Abkhazia should be resolved in conjunction with a future peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
