The trial on the case of Fatima Margieva, a citizen of South Ossetia, charged with illegal acquiring and keeping of arms and explosives will take place within two weeks, reported to RES Agency the acting Supreme Court Judge Mukhar Kokoev.
The judge specified that currently Margieva is kept in the pre-trial detention facility of the Interior Ministry of South Ossetia.

"The decision on retrieval and arrest of Margieva was made by justice bodies in regard to systematic violations of the written undertaking not to leave the place", said Kokoev.
Fatima Yurievna Margieva, 1959, was charged with Art 222, p.1, (illegal acquiring and keeping of arms, ammunition and explosives). On 27 May 2009, representatives of the RSO KGB "while checking out operational information" conducted a search in the house belonging to Margieva. During the search, small arms, ammunition and explosives, including an anti-tank grenade-launcher, a Kalashnikov submachine-gun and Makarov pistol were found and withdrawn. According to Kokoev, once the preliminary investigation was finished, the case of Margiev was forwarded to the court of Tskhinval city. "End of January, the first court sitting took place, which Margieva did not attend. Justice officers tasked to establish the whereabouts of the accused found out from her relatives that Margieva had left for North Ossetian without prior notification submitted to the court. Since it is impossible to consider a case in the absence of the accused, the court issued a decision to suspend the proceedings on this criminal case and announce Margieva wanted". said Kokoev.
He also reported that on 18 February, justice bodies received a notification that through the retrieval measures, Margieva was detained and placed in the pre-detention facility of the Interior Ministry. The judge explained that the criminal proceedings would be resumed and the nearest court sitting would take place within two weeks.
