"The duty as a doctor is to help people": a surgeon from South Ossetia about working in the special military operation zone

A surgeon from South Ossetia, Georgiy Margiev, has been in the special operation zone for three months now, helping the wounded fighters. This was reported by the press service of the Republic's Health Ministry.

According to Margiev, he will do everything in his power to save the lives of servicemen.

“I've been here since mid-November. I have came to help my brothers. As a doctor, I will do everything in my power. The situation here varies. We help the wounded on the spot and take them to the hospital,” Margiev shared in the telephone conversation with Health Minister Thomas Dzhigkaev

The head of the Health Ministry emphasized that participation in the special operation was a huge experience for doctors.

“Margiev went of his own free will. This is a great experience. The most important thing is that he returns home safe and healthy!” he has noted..

According to the press service the Health Ministry, Georgy Margiev has been working as a surgeon for more than ten years.
