Maximum integration and a common security contour: Dzhioev on the Treaty of Alliance between South Ossetia and Russia

The parameters and provisions of the Agreement on Alliance and Integration between South Ossetia and Russia provide for maximum integration, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev has noted at the briefing in Tskhinval.

“Within the framework of this Agreement, we have a common security contour with Russia, that is, an attack on South Ossetia will be considered an attack on Russia,” he said.

Dzhioev gas added, that the Russian Federation has repeatedly proven that it is a guarantor of peace and stability in South Ossetia.

“We all remember that in 2008, thanks to the courage of the South Ossetian fighters and Russia, we were able to defend the freedom and independence of our Republic,” the Minister has emphasized.
