President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev met with People's Artist of Russia, artistic director of the Academy of Young Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theater Larisa Gergieva.
Gagloev thanked Gergieva for organizing the international festival-competition "Path of Galati" in South Ossetia, despite her busy schedule.
Larisa Gergieva has emphasized that she wants to contribute to the development of the culture of South Ossetia and expressed her intention to continue holding the festival-competition of children's and youth creativity named after Boris Galaev "Path of Galati".
Gergieva addressed the President with a request for further support and assistance - she said that she planned to hold the events within the framework of the festival throughout the year.
"We will bring artists, conduct master classes and lectures aimed at developing the culture of South Ossetia," she said.
Gergieva expressed a desire to more actively involve South Ossetia in the events of the Mariinsky Theater, emphasizing the importance of finding and supporting young talents.
The President confirmed the commitment of the South Ossetian leadership to the development of culture and assured of further support for the festival.
He also asked Gergieva to support the South Ossetian talent Maxim Zasseev.
Gergieva has emphasized that she is familiar with him and will support him.
