President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, has noted that South Ossetia is looking for ways to dialogue and establishing relations with all countries, including Iran, which is a "related to Ossetians" state.

"We want, of course, to cooperate with Iran and build relations. And we want, of course, that Iran finally recognizes South Ossetia. Iran is a related state for Ossetians. Our language belongs to the Indo-European group of languages, and we have a lot in common, including traditions. And, of course, we would like to establish relations with Iran. Moreover, there are such attempts and concrete steps in South Ossetia, and they will continue, "said Anatoly Bibilov in an interview with the Iranian journalist Hayal Muazzin.

He drew attention to the opportunity to develop cultural relations, "it is possible to establish economic, and in the future - political ties."

A group of foreign journalists visited South Ossetia in early May. During the press tour, media representatives from Iran and Latin American countries spoke with President Anatoly Bibilov.
