In total, about 250 foreign delegates are expected to attend the Forum.

Representatives of more than a dozen countries will gather on Tuesday at the international economic forum in Donetsk, which will discuss building a model of economic development in extreme conditions, attracting capital, despite international sanctions. This was reported on Monday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in its official Telegram channel.

The Forum will bring together official delegations from the Russian Federation, the Luhansk People's Republic, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, as well as entrepreneurs and representatives of business organizations from France, Finland, Ireland, the UK, Switzerland, Bulgaria, the USA, Turkey, Syria, Yemen, Tajikistan, Iran, Egypt. A total of about 250 foreign delegates are expected to attend the Forum. The Forum is supported by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin. The event will include a plenary session, discussions, and exhibitions. As expected, foreign participants will sign agreements, protocols of intent and memoranda with the DPR.

“For the sixth year, the Donbass is in a state of actual blockade,” says Larisa Kostrovets, Chairman of the organizing committee, rector of the Donetsk Academy of Management and Public Administration, on the Forum’s website. One of the main problems of the DPR is the virtual lack of access to the global financial system, which greatly complicates the creation of a favorable investment climate and the development of entrepreneurship in general, she added.

“Since the existing conditions are extreme, it is quite natural to conclude that the time has come for making non-standard decisions, introducing revolutionary approaches and innovative ideas. Donbass should become a territory of an extreme economy,” the head of the Forum’s organizing committee said.
