The interest in Ossetia, Ossetian culture becomes traditional for the festival “Origins” - Amaga Gotti

Representatives of Ossetia - Advisor to the Minister of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania on issues of national relations, Honored Artist of the North and People's Artist of the South of Alania, opera singer Amaga Gotti, soloist of the Moscow ensemble "Alania", Honored Artist of South Ossetia, journalist, director Alana Tskhovrebova and a young singer, a student of the South Ossetian State University Martha Kharebova became an adornment of the II International Festival of Russian-Turkish Friendship “Origins”, the first stage of which was held in Turkish Antalya.

As Amag Gotti said in a comment to IA“Res”, the participants at the festival represented both parts of Ossetia.

“The Turkish public, the city authorities of Antalya, representatives of the Russian diaspora in Turkey welcomed us enthusiastically. Many warm words were said by Russian diplomats, the mayor of Antalya, with whom I had a meeting. The result of the speeches is not only a letter of thanks addressed to President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, but also the interest in Ossetia, Ossetian culture, the interest is growing every year. For us, this is an opportunity to popularize Ossetia,” said Gotti.

Amaga Gotti performed as a speaker at the first international diplomatic forum “Karlov readings” held as part of the festival.

The event was dedicated to the memory of the Russian diplomat, Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Hero of Russia Andrei Karlov, killed in 2016.

“The importance of the Forum was noted in the welcome letters by Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, head of Rossotrudnichestvo Eleonora Mitrofanova, Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Yerkhov. I spoke about the international project “Alanian Trail, and Alana Tskhovrebova informed the Forum participants about the heroism of the Ossetian people, outstanding figures of culture and art, science, famous athletes and Heroes of the USSR and Russia, as well as about her film "Not a Time for Heroism". We agreed to show this film in Russian schools in Turkey. A film, a book about the history of Ossetia by Tamerlane Kambolov, national souvenirs were transferred to the Andrei Karlov Museum, ”Gotti said.

According to Amagi Gotti, she attended the “Origins” for the first time three years ago after she headed the jury of the Russian Song contest in Turkey. The proposal came from the president of the "Origins" contest, Ekaterina Sergeeva.

“Since then, every year I work on the international jury. So, this year there was hard work, there was a selection of participants for the Moscow part of the festival, which will be held in November. Representatives of the south and north of Ossetia will take part there, we are carefully preparing,” says the opera singer.

The festival “Origins”,was held as part of the cross Year of Culture and Tourism of Russia and Turkey and is held in order to strengthen friendly international relations, develop public diplomacy, familiarize participants and spectators of the festival with Russian and Turkish culture. The festival was organized on the initiative of the organizing committee of the festival “Origins”, with the support of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Antalya, the Antalya City Hall, the International Fund for the Remembrance of Andrei Karlov, Rossotrudnichestvo,, the Russian Society of Antalya, the Moscow International School in Antalya.
