Establishing interaction between young specialists in the field of medicine is the important task for the authorities of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the head of the South Ossetian Health Ministry, Thomas Dzhigkaev, said at the meeting with the Abkhaz leader Aslan Bzhania.
The delegation of South Ossetia, led by the Health Minister of the Republic, Thomas Dzhigkaev, is taking part in the 2nd Abkhaz Medical Forum. President Aslan Bzhania received him on Monday, the press service of the Health Ministry reports.
“Tomas Dzhigkaev has noted that the II Abkhaz Medical Forum will give the parties an understanding of the areas in which they can cooperate,” the statement reads.
The Forum is attended by the heads of the health ministries of four states - Russia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Transnistria.
The South Ossetian delegation has also included Deputy Health Minister of the Republic Alena Pukhaeva and Assistant Minister Gennady Tskhovrebov.
The Forum will be held in Sukhum from April 22 to 23.
