Vazagov: The decision of the Strasbourg court was predictable

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has issued a decision that it will not consider the claims of residents of the Republic of South Ossetia to Georgia on the events of August 2008.

According to the South Ossetian expert Yuri Vazagov, this decision of the Strasbourg Court was predictable, since the political commitment and bias of the western judicial instances has long been known.

Vazagov drew attention to the activities of another body - The Hague Court, which also repeatedly demonstrated its bias and double standards in its work.

ECHR did not accept claims of Tskhinval residents against Georgia

The European Court of Human Rights announced on Thursday that did not see any grounds for accepting several lawsuits in which the residents of Tskhinval accused the Georgian armed forces of life-threatening actions.

As noted in the court’s press release, the ECHR will not consider two of the three lawsuits filed by residents of the Republic of South Ossetia against Georgia on the events of August 2008.

Foreign Ministers of South Ossetia and Russia will hold talks in Moscow

The meeting of foreign ministers of Russia and South Ossetia, which will be held on November 12 in Moscow, will discuss key issues of Russian-South Ossetian relations, TASS reports, citing the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

According to Zakharova, the head of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia, Dmitry Medoev, will be in Moscow on a three-day working visit.
