About 12 thousand electors voted in the Russian presidential elections in South Ossetia

The total number of voters in South Ossetia in the Russian presidential elections as of 14:00 on Saturday was about 12,000 voters, Stepan Tapanan, head of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of South Ossetia, told IA “Res ”.

It is noted that the data is given taking into account early voting.

Voting for the Russian presidential election is taking place on March 15-17. Russian citizens living in South Ossetia are given the opportunity to exercise their right to vote at the 11 polling stations, and another station is operating for the Russian military personnel.

Russian citizens can vote for one of four candidates: current President Vladimir Putin, Communist Party member Nikolai Kharitonov, the LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky or the State Duma Deputy Chairman from the New People party Vladislav Davankov.
