South Ossetia handed over the border violator to the Georgian side

A resident of Tbilisi, violated the state border of South Ossetia in January, was handed over to the Georgian side on Monday, April 1, the press service of the Republic’s KGB reports.

“On January 10, 2024, the Georgian citizen Aleksi Dzhuansherovich Adeishvili, born in 1967, resident of Tbilisi, was detained for illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia by officers of the South Ossetian border authorities.

It was established that the violator had deliberately crossed the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia in the vicinity of the village of Akhmadz, Leningor district, for the purpose of fishing,” the press service said in a statement.

On February 27, 2024, the Leningor District Court found Adeishvili guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal crossing of the state border.”

“On April 1, the violator was released and expelled from the Republic in accordance with the established procedure,” the KGB has noted.
