On the border of South Ossetia with Georgia near the village of Ergneti was held a regular meeting in the format of mechanisms to prevent and respond to incidents (IPRM).
Following the meeting the head of the South Ossetian delegation, State Adviser to the President of South Ossetia David Sanakoev has told reporters that in the course of the meeting were discussed the issues related to the situation in the areas adjacent to the state border between South Ossetia and Georgia.
"During this period it was recorded 14 cases of violation of the state border by Georgian citizens, - Sanakoev said. - 12 people were handed over to the Georgian authorities, the two remain on the territory of South Ossetia, and after the appropriate procedures, they will be handed over to the representatives of Georgia. It was also discussed the question regarding the melioration Tiriponsky channel, in particular, the meeting participants discussed the technical issues and issues related to access of water to the villages of South Ossetia and Georgia. "
According to Sanakoev, the Georgian side has raised the issue of the citizen by the name of Basharuli, who died in Leningor district of South Ossetia.
" The case was closed, but his mother has some questions - said Sanakoev. - We have identified the mechanism which Basharuli`s mother can use in accordance with the legislation of South Ossetia. "
David Sanakoev has added that during the meeting was raised the question of the missing citizens of South Ossetia.
"This issue is now being discussed in the framework of the tripartite coordination mechanism, which is attended by representatives of Georgia, South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, and the coordinator is the International Committee of the Red Cross. Through this mechanism was clarified the issue related to Mairbeg Tedeev ".
The next meeting of the IPRM is scheduled for May 16.
