South Ossetia is one of Russia's most reliable friends and partners, with whom we have been walking together for quite a long time. This was stated by the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov, answering a question from the IA "Res" correspondent during the online conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of public diplomacy.
"Our cooperation began long before 2008. Russia was the first to recognize the independence of South Ossetia. Despite the small population of the Republic, strong ties, including family ties, make us very close friends and allies," he said.
