Representatives of the South Ossetian government, headed by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development Dzambolat Tadtaev, held talks with representatives of the government of the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation.
According to the press service of the government, for the South Ossetian part, the meeting was attended by Minister of Culture Zhanna Zasseyeva, director of the Central State Archives State Budgetary Institution Valentina Valieva; Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations and Investment Activity of the Ministry of Economic Development Ekaterina Khubulova.
For the Sverdlovsk Region: Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations Vasily Kozlov, Deputy Minister of Culture Yulia Prytkova, Head of the Archives Administration Alexander Kapustin and Director of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of International and Foreign Economic Relations Larisa Sharf.
They talked about the intensification of bilateral dialogue on culture, tourism, education and archival affairs. Within the framework of the negotiations, presentations were made of the economic opportunities of the territories and agreements were reached on the formation of mutual proposals for the development and strengthening of friendly ties, mutually beneficial humanitarian and economic cooperation.
As noted, the platform for interaction at the first stage can be cultural exchanges, as well as joint measures to improve the activities of the archival service of the Republic.
“Expansion and strengthening of foreign economic ties, including with the regions of the Russian Federation, will open up new opportunities and give an additional impetus to investment activity. Just the other day, we conducted negotiations with the Republic of Crimea, during which a fairly wide range of areas and those in which we have common interests in terms of trade and economic cooperation in accordance with priority areas were also identified,” said Dzambolat Tadtaev.
