South Ossetia will build a common future with the Russian Federation, President of the Republic Alan Gagloev said during the meeting with the North Ossetian delegation headed by Sergei Menyailo.
On Saturday, the head of state received a delegation arrived in Tskhinval to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of South Ossetia by Russia.
The meeting was attended by Russian Ambassador to the Republic Marat Kulakhmetov, Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev, deputies of the Republic's Parliament.
The North Ossetian delegation has included Chairman of the North Ossetian Parliament Taimuraz Tuskaev, First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Murat Tkhostov, Deputy Chairmen of the Parliament of North Ossetia Aslanbek Gutnov and Svetlana Doeva, Chairman of the International Public Movement "Supreme Council of Ossetians" Kazbek Enaldiev, deputies of the Parliament of North Ossetia and other officials.
The Head of State Alan Gagloev has stressed that the Day of Recognition of the Independence of South Ossetia by Russia is a common holiday with fraternal North Ossetia.
“Today our friends are coming to the southern part of Ossetia to share the holiday of our people. I want to sincerely thank you for coming. Times are not easy today, but I am convinced that we will go through all the trials together and build a common future together with the Russian Federation. The North and South Ossetia are one inseparable people,” Gagloev has emphasized.
Sergei Menyailo congratulated the people of South Ossetia on a significant holiday and wished prosperity to the Republic.
“We must do everything to ensure that such events do not happen again. It's time to build a peaceful life. We are one nation, we live by one destiny and one future",” he said.
Taimuraz Tuskaev has stressed that today is an important day for South Ossetia.
“We bow before the courage of the Ossetian people. Today we are being faced with common tasks for the development of North and South Ossetia,” he said.
