In South Ossetia, Georgy Ikaev, perished while performing his military duty in the special military operation zone, was seen off on his final journey.

The Republic's leadership, headed by President Alan Gagloev, the Russian Ambassador to the Republic Marat Kulakhmetov, the deceased's comrades-in-arms, his family and friends came to see the soldier off on his final journey.

A representative of the Ikaev family noted that Georgy had always been kind and loyal.

Georgy Ikayev was 36 years old. He left two kids without a father.

Representatives of South Ossetia took part in the opening ceremony of the 5th Art and Industrial Exhibition-Forum "The Unique Russia".

As reported to IA "Res" by one of the participants of the event, the South Ossetian singer Albert Laliev, the exhibition is taking place in Gostiny Dvor in Moscow and will continue until February 9.

"The event brought together hundreds of talented artists, craftsmen, designers, art historians, heads of enterprises, and government bodies.
