South Ossetia joined the International Patriotic Campaign "The Victory Bouquet", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The event was organized by the Coordinating Council of the Organization of Russian Compatriots in South Ossetia together with the Union of Russian Citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia.
As reported to the news agency "Res" by Natalya Zhuykova, a member of the World Coordinating Council from South Ossetia, the event brought together then participants from 80 countries.
"This is a flash mob project for compatriots, including a master class for children and young people from 80 countries on making carnations from colored paper, which are virtually transmitted from frame to frame, from country to country. Compatriots living abroad will send the flowers to Moscow, where they will be supplemented with the 80th carnation and laid at the Eternal Flame to honor the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War,” Zhuykova has specified.
According to her, the idea of holding the event belongs to the commission on youth policy at the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots.
“The participants of the event have become children of the organization of the Union of Russian Citizens, students of the Albion Gymnasium. The members of the KSORS - Anzhelika Bukovskaya, Nadezhda Rassokhina and Marta Kharebova - are responsible for organizing the event,” she said.
Natalya Zhuykova expressed gratitude to the Russian House in Tskhinval for the provided venue.
