More than 90% of the products of the South Ossetian stone processing plant will be exported, Elbrus Kochiev, the CEO of the company for the extraction and processing of natural stone, Impuls-A LLC, said at the press conference in Tskhinval.
"Our production will also be presented in South Ossetia, for local buyers it will be sold at a discount of up to 30% of the total cost of the products," he has added.
According to Kochiev, they held negotiations with potential buyers from Russia and outlined several large projects.
"All the details, scales and orders that the enterprise will carry out are currently being discussed," he has noted.
He has emphasized that the stone plant has high economic efficiency and social significance for the Republic.
Kochiev has noted that there is a high demand for local stone.
"According to geological exploration, the rock reserves are about 1 million 700 thousand cubic meters. When our enterprise reaches full capacity, production will be about 600 cubic meters per month," he has noted.
Currently, the enterprise employs more than 50 people, including specialists invited from the Russian Federation.
As noted by Kochiev, the enterprise will reach full capacity in December, and then they will provide jobs for 100 people.
The average monthly salary of the enterprise's employees is 51 thousand rubles.
"We also provide jobs for companies that transport stone to the workshop and deliver products to the buyer," he added.
The CEO has reported that they have agreements with the Russian company "Everything for Stone", according to which, when installing equipment, they simultaneously train the enterprise's employees in stone processing on the machine being installed.
They also send their employees to North Ossetia for training.
Kochiev has reminded that the stone factory began producing products from local stone in July last year.
The stone factory's products have already been used to partially lay paving stones and curbs on the old bridge in Tskhinval, as well as to clad a fountain in the city of Beslan, where a new recreation park is being built, and to build stairs in Vladikavkaz.
The plant is currently manufacturing products for the Eternal Flame memorial. In addition, the factory has received an additional order for paving stones and stairs for the old bridge in Tskhinval.
