Over the past day in South Ossetia, no new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected. Thus, on the morning of May 17, 34 cases of patients with COVID-19 were laboratory-confirmed in the Republic, Marina Kochieva, head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, told IA "Res " on Sunday.

"During the day, the picture of morbidity has not changed, in total we have 34 identified cases, today the research will continue," said Marina Kochieva.

Ministry of Health of South Ossetia reported on the condition of 34 coronavirus patients in the isolation ward in Tskhinval.

As reported to IA "Res" by the press service of the Health Ministry, among the diseased there are two medical workers from the Znaur district hospital.

"Several patients have a low temperature in the range of 37 - 37.3 degrees. Their condition is stable. They continue to receive medication," the press service said.

According to the press service, currently in the "red zone" there are 58 people, among them there are small children, too.
