Wine flavored holiday: the beginning of the harvest was celebrated in South Ossetia
In the capital of South Ossetia, an autumn harvest festival was held on Saturday, organized by the Ironsaen winery, the Association of Winemakers and Winegrowers with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic.
Familiarity with the wine inventory and the culture of using the best brands of South Ossetian red and white, starting from light dry wines, increasing to fortified and dessert ones, has traditionally become a shtick of the holiday.
