Award presentation of the South-Ossetian schoolboys – the winners of the International festival of children's art creativity «First in Space»- which passed in Moscow, has taken place at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in South Ossetia. In warm friendly atmosphere the schoolboys and their teachers have been welcomed by the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the RSO Elbrus Kargiev and the representative of the Russian Cooperation in the RSO Mikhail Stepanov. According to Elbrus Kargiev, all diplomatic workers have marked a great interest of the South-Ossetian people to processes occurring in the Russian Federation. «We feel especial interest on the part of youth that makes us glad. It is the display of high respect, love and friendship of people of South Ossetia towards people of Russia.
I`d like to note that this feeling is mutual», - was noted by the Ambassador. In turn, Mikhail Stepanov has noted that South Ossetia won one of the first places in the competition by quantity of winners. «South Ossetia has showed itself to good advantage -13 winners of the competition. All of us are very glad that you have been so active in the International festival. The purpose of the given competition was to attract attention of the South-Ossetian youth to achievements of the Russian astronautics. Summing up the results I consider that we have attained our goal», - Stepanov has emphasized. He has reminded that the competition «First in Space» was timed to the 50 anniversary of Yury Gagarin’s space flight; more than 100 children from South Ossetia have taken part in it. «The memorial plate has been installed at Gagarin Street in Tskhinval within the frames of celebrating the year of astronautics. Besides we have organized the photo-exhibition and the film display about achievements of the Russian cosmonauts in order to attract interest of the South-Ossetian youth to astronautics»,-he has added. During the International festival of children's art creativity «First in Space» the first degree diplomas and memorable gifts have been awarded to 13 pupils of the South-Ossetian schools. For active work on training the young artists their teachers have been also awarded by letters of commendation. Besides, for active participation in development of humanitarian cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia, for active participation in the dialogue of culture of the Ossetian and Russian people the Deputy Director on educational work in Dmenissky secondary school Florida Fatalieva has also been awarded by the letter of commendation. In conclusion Mikhail Stepanov has expressed his hope that the young artists will also actively take part in the competition of children's drawing «Russia with eyes of children of South Ossetia», which the Russian Cooperation plans to conduct in October, 2011. It should be reminded, that the International festival has passed under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, in cooperation with the State Museum of Astronautics named after E.Tsiolkovsky, by the All-Russia Association of the International Cultural and Humanitarian Relations, the International Children's Art Gallery and has been dedicated to the 50 anniversary of the first man`s flight in space. Children at the age of 5-16 were invited to take part in the Festival.
