The South-Ossetian freestyle wrestlers Nikolay Tskhovrebov, Alan Pliev, Arthur Gagiev and Vladimir Dzhioev have become the silver prize-winners of the Ninth Tournament of people of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasian Federal District.
As informed by the trainer of the athletes Vladimir Kumaritov to the News Agency RES, «Tskhovrebov was wrestling in a weight class to 55 kg. On a way to the final he has had three preliminary rounds which he has won on points. But in the final fight he has conceded a victory to his opponent and as a result has taken the second place, - Kumaritov has told. – Fighting in a weight class to 74 kg Pliev has also achieved a victory on points in the three preliminary fights. In the final our athlete was defeated by a wrestler from Abkhazia with the minimum advantage». According to Kumaritov, Gagiev and Dzhioev, having performed in a weight class to 84 and 96 kg accordingly, have also had four fights. «In the preliminary rounds they have achieved victory on points. But unfortunately, both Gagiev and Dzhioev have lost the final fights on points and became the silver prize-winners of the competition», - Kumaritov has added. Three more athletes-his trainees-have become the bronze medalists of the tournament: Vadim Dzhioev, Vladimir Dzagoev and David Tadtaev, having performed in a weight class to 60 kg, 84 kg and to 96 kg. «In the discipline we have taken the second team place. It is a good result. In my opinion, Nikolay Tskhovrebov, Alan Pliev, Arthur Gagiev and Vladimir Dzhioev could wrestle better, - the instructor of the South Ossetian sportsmen has noted. - following the results of performing of our wrestlers, we will draw a conclusion and define priorities in their further preparation for forthcoming competitions». According to Kumaritov, his trainees should take part in a number of the scaled tournaments which will be held outside the RSO. It should be noted that the Ninth Tournament of people of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasian Federal District with participation of teams of South Ossetia and Abkhazia were conducted in Anapa from October, 3 till October, 10, 2011.
