It should be reminded, that the extradition of the three citizens of Georgia has taken place today in the Georgian border village of Ergneti.
"The South Ossetian side, without waiting for the mutual extradition, made a gesture of goodwill and in accordance with the amnesty, released the citizens of Georgia, which had been previously assumed to be exchanged," - said Dzhioev.
He has noted, that the delegation of co-chairs of the Geneva discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, visited South Ossetia on July 18, appreciatedhighly the gesture of good will on the part of the leadership of South Ossetia.
"The co-chairs, in turn, assured us that the Georgian side would provide us with a list of our citizens, being in Georgian prisons, who could be released," - said Dzhioev.
According to him, today in prisons of Georgia are still more than 20 citizens of South Ossetia.
"At several meetings of the Mechanisms on Prevention and Reaction to Incidents (MPRI), we discussed the question of the mutual extradition of the convicted citizens of Georgia in South Ossetia and the citizens of South Ossetia in Georgia. – underlined Dzhioev. - July 26, will be held a regular meeting of MPRI and the Georgian side, as promised at the previous meeting, will give us a list of those persons whom they can release."
