The ninth session of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on socio- economic cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation is under way n Tskhinval.
On the agenda – the issues to provide the current financial assistance of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Ossetia for its socio -economic development, to promote the implementation of the Investment Program for socio -economic development of the RSO for 2012-2013. The participants will also discuss to draft the Investment program for 2014 - 2016, as well as the process of improving the legislation of South Ossetia.
Following the meeting is expected to sign an agreement between South Ossetia and Karachai-Cherkessia on trade-economic, scientific- technical and cultural cooperation; a similar agreement will be signed between South and North Ossetia.
The meeting will be attended by the RSO President Leonid Tibilov. The event will be chaired by the Prime Minister of South Ossetia, the Chairman of the South Ossetian part of the Committee Rostislav Khugaev and Deputy Prime Minister, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District, a Chairman of the Russian part of the Commission Alexander Khloponin.
