Construction of facilities included in the Investment program to promote socio- economic development of South Ossetia in 2012-2013, is to be completed in 2014. This was stated by the President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov, speaking at a briefing on the results of the ninth session of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on socio-economic cooperation between South Ossetia and Russia, held in Tskhinval.
"By the end of 2014 we have to show the people of the Republic that the planned construction is completed. In the future, we plan to put into operation more than 30 facilities. This work is carried out thanks to the assistance of the Russian Federation", - said Tibilov.
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, a Chairman of the Russian part of the IGC Alexander Khloponin noted that it was time to move on from the restoration of the ravaged economy to the implementation of programs for economic development.
"We have set an ambitious goal - to complete in 2014 all the unfinished facilities. Let me remind you that the amount of money allocated to South Ossetia in 2012-2013, which was slightly more than two billion rubles, next year will be more than 2.8 billion rubles. With these funds, we need to put into operation a large number of facilities, so in 2014 we will have a huge amount of work", - said Khloponin.
He has expressed confidence that all the plans will be implemented promptly and positively assessed the work of the intergovernmental commission.
