Two multidisciplinary mobile hospitals are deployed in Abkhazia and South Ossetia
More than 1,000 military doctors are involved in the treatment of coronavirus infection among civilians in Russia and abroad. This was announced by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a conference call on Tuesday.
"In total, 1,011 military doctors are involved in providing assistance in the treatment of the civilian population from COVID-19 in the country and abroad. Our specialists successfully carry out hard, socially significant work," Shoigu said.
He has reminded that a temporary center for 1,420 places was formed at the funds of the Patriot convention and exhibition center in the Moscow region, where 673 medical specialists of the Russian Defense Ministry are working. The head of the Defense Ministry has noted that more than a thousand patients have already received medical assistance there.
Shoigu has also reminded that at the end of October 72 military doctors were sent to medical organizations in the Moscow and Kurgan regions. In addition, by the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, two multidisciplinary mobile hospitals have been deployed in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, each of which employs 133 military medical specialists.
