For South Ossetia, one of the invariable foreign policy priorities is the development of relations with the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, with which many years of friendship and partnership have been established, said the RSO Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took part on Friday via video conference in the meeting of the reporting board of the Foreign Ministry of the PMR, timed to coincide with the Day of Diplomatic Service Officer.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, the event was held with the participation of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Vadim Krasnoselsky.
“During the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie, Vitaly Ignatiev, made a report on the main directions of foreign policy activity in 2022, taking into account the new realities and challenges facing the Republic, and identified the priority tasks of the department for the future. Akhsar Dzhioev, on behalf of the South Ossetian diplomats, congratulated the Pridnestrovian colleagues on their professional holiday and wished good health, peace, success in upholding foreign policy positions and serving for the benefit of the Fatherland,” the press service said.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia has noted that one of the invariable foreign policy priorities for the Republic is the development of relations with the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, with which long-term relations of friendship and partnership have been established, supported by a solid bilateral legal framework, and expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh S.V. Gazaryan, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova O.V. Vasnetsov, head of the official representation of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic V.V. Yankovsky, head of the official representative office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in South Ossetia A.S. Pliev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Vataman and other invited persons.
