South Ossetia is preparing to take part in the Caucasus Investment Forum (CIF), which will be held from May 25 to 27 in Mineralnye Vody. This was reported by the Republic's trade representative in Russia, Taimuraz Goginov, during the press conference in Tskhinval.
"We participate in the Forum every year and our stand invariably attracts a lot of attention. This year we will present the products of the Impuls-A stone processing plant. They have made excellent products for our national exposition. I think this will be the main thing we will talk about at the exhibition, in addition to other surprises, which we will talk about later," he said.
The trade representative emphasized the importance of the CIF as the authoritative platform for business communication, where many meetings, negotiations and discussions take place.
"At the last exhibition, and we highly appreciate it, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach called on investors to come to South Ossetia, thereby demonstrating Russia's support. When the leader of such a level invites businesses to South Ossetia, this indicates that our Republic is a state governed by the rule of law with a steadily developing economy," the trade representative has noted.
Goginov has added that a number of investment projects are already being implemented in South Ossetia with the support of VTB, one of the largest Russian banks.
According to him, all these agreements are the result of negotiations, including at the Caucasus Investment Forum.
