The opening of a new teacher training institute, the creation of special conditions for children with disabilities, multidisciplinary cooperation in the field of education - the implementation of such agreements became possible thanks to the participation of South Ossetia in the International Forum of Ministers of Education "Shaping the Future".
The event was held in Kazan and brought together more than 90 foreign guests, including 20 heads of relevant ministries from Cuba, Venezuela, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Congo, Myanmar, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Qatar and Afghanistan.
As Minister of Education and Science Aslan Lolaev told IA "Res", the Forum had been held for the first time and "in terms of scale, this is the largest event in the last 30 years."

At the meeting with Minister for Youth Policy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rinat Sadykov, Lolaev proposed to establish relations with the Committee on Youth Policy of the Republic.
Serious attention was paid to the issues of education and upbringing of children with disabilities at the meeting with director of the Institute of Correctional Pedagogy, Doctor of Еducation, Tatiana Solovieva.
“For us, the issue of teaching children with disabilities is quite relevant, since there are about 400 such children registered in South Ossetia. They need special assistance; they have a special form of training and education. We managed to reach certain agreements with a colleague at the Пorum,” Lolaev said.
In addition, the presentation of the tenth Center for Open Education in Russian and Russian Language Teaching of the Armavir State Pedagogical Institute took place in the business part of the Forum of Ministers of Education.
“We plan to open such a center in Leningor district of South Ossetia to improve the skills of school teachers. In addition, this institute provides an opportunity to study the culture and history of Russia, as well as many other perspectives," Lolaev said.
Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov held a multilateral meeting, which was attended by Minister of Education of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Gablia, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of South Ossetia Aslan Lolaev, Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Uzokboy Begimkulov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Jurazoda, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Turkmenistan Alexander Amanov.
As part of bilateral negotiations, cooperation agreements were reached in the field of children's recreation with representatives of Artek, Smena and Orlyonok.
Issues of the development of teacher education, updating the content, research training of teaching staff, the development of an integrated system of specialized education in the field of pedagogy were discussed at the meeting with Acting Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Education, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Education Viktor Basyuk and Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Public Relations of Ministry of Education of Russia Svetlana Feoktistova.
