The Coordination Council of the Organization of Russian Compatriots (KSORS) in South Ossetia joined the public action “St. George’s Ribbon” dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day.
As reported to the IA “ Res “ by Natalya Zhuikova, Chairman of the KSORS, the campaign to distribute the two-color Victory symbol among compatriots started on Tuesday.
“We joined the general republican action “St. George’s Ribbon”. The Victory Symbol is presented to residents of the capital by young members of public organizations of Russian compatriots – “Union of Russian Citizens” and “Rossy”,” she said.
On the first day of the event, ribbons were presented on Theatre Square, near the national library and the intersection of Isak Kharebov and Heroes streets.
According to Zhuikova, the action will take place in different locations of the city until May 9 inclusive. During this time, Russian compatriots will distribute about three thousand St. George ribbons.
The action is being held with the support of the Russian House in Tskhinval.
