President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev took part in the plenary meeting of the Caucasus Investment Forum (CIF-2024) in Grozny, the press service of the head of state reports.
The main theme of the Forum is “The Greater Caucasus - from sea to sea.”
Guests from all regions of the Russian Federation took part in the plenary session. The heads of the North Caucasus regions were present in the hall.
The plenary session of the Аorum was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in charge of the North Caucasian Federal District, Alexander Novak, Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, Minister of Investment of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, General Director of DOM.RF Vitaly Mutko, President and Chairman of the Board of VTB Bank Andrey Kostin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of N.I. Tkachev Agrocomplex and the founder of the Safmar group Mikhail Gutseriev.

Alexander Novak noted the great interest of the SEZ residents in the Chechen Republic.⠀
⠀“Today, within the framework of the economic development model in the North Caucasus, the largest investment projects worth 1 trillion 700 billion rubles are already being implemented. It is important to understand that the drivers are almost all sectors of economy, but the most significant are agriculture, industry, and transport development. And the key industry is tourism,” he said. ⠀
⠀He has also noted that 60% of special economic zones are implemented in the Caucasus, 90% of residents in the SEZs are here - in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District.⠀
"We have just discussed with Ramzan Akhmatovich today how we can create additional infrastructure facilities, because the number of residents willing to work is much higher than we manage to develop our respective infrastructure. And this should be used, because there is a huge interest in the region.⠀Of course, we should also talk about the development of traditional values, because first of all, when we talk about the economy, these are people and this is the result of the work of those people who live here. And in this regard, the region is also unique," Novak has assured.⠀
