President Alan Gagloev has met with the servicemen of the 4th military base - the special military operation fighters, who came to South Ossetia on short leave.
As reported by the press service of the head of state, Gagloev warmly greeted the fighters, noting that he was looking forward to their speedy return home with victory.
“Each of us knows what a serious task has been entrusted to you. Sometimes it is difficult to even find the right words when one thinks about the events taking place on the fronts of the special military operation,” he said.
Alan Gagloev has emphasized that Ossetia is proud of its defenders.
"Today, the Ossetian soldiers have once again taken up arms and are going to the victorious end, glorifying their Fatherland. You are our hope and support. Thank you for your courage and heroism," the President said.
He has stressed that each of the fighters is valued in their native land and they are waiting for their speedy return home safe and sound.
"You are showing your best qualities at the fronts of the special military operation. From time to time we come to you; we see how almost each of you takes part in the onslaught on the enemy at the line of combat contact. At the cost of your own lives, you make every effort to ensure that the enemy does not "stand at our doorstep" again," Alan Gagloev said, wishing them good health and peace.
For the courage and dedication shown during the special military operation, the President awarded the fighters with the "Defender of the Fatherland" medals.
