A delegation from the North Caucasus Federal University headed by Rector Dmitry Bespalov visited South Ossetia, the NCFU press service reports. During a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic Konstantin Dzhussoev, it was noted that the University was s expanding the training program for civil servants and teachers of South Ossetia, and the results of cooperation over 10 years were summed up.
“NCFU has implemented additional professional education programs, which have been trained by more than three thousand specialists in the field of education of the Republic: directors of general education institutions and school teachers, college teachers, psychologists and tutors accompanying students of special schools. Also, training in additional educational programs developed by NCFU by order of the Government of the Republic was organized for civil servants, specialists in various fields of economy and a number of enterprises of South Ossetia.
The NCFU scientists and experts prepared 26 state regulatory legal acts, including a number of by-laws regulating educational activities, as well as the Law "On Education" adopted by Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia," the message says.
The NCFU also organized a number of significant popular science and educational events: a series of educational lectures for schoolchildren, the II International Legal Forum with the participation of scientists from South Ossetia. In addition, over the past two years, eight forums and conferences dedicated to the commonwealth of the peoples of the Caucasus in the fight against fascism were held, in which more than a thousand representatives from ten countries of the Far and Near Abroad took part.
"The University is ready to continue to actively participate in solving the problems of strengthening cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia. The plans has included a number of educational projects. In addition, cooperation in the scientific, educational and cultural spheres will continue in the interests of strengthening the friendly ties between our states," the press service quotes Rector of the NCFU Dmitry Bespalov,.
In 2025, NCFU plans to develop and implement the advanced training programs for representatives of the education sector, primarily for subject teachers of the Republic's schools, as well as for state civil servants and specialists in the real sector of economy from South Ossetia.
"A number of educational events (in the form of trainings and master classes) are planned to develop the Russian language and methods of teaching it, as well as round tables and conferences on preserving historical memory and countering the falsification of the history of the Great Patriotic War," the University emphasized.
As part of the working visit to the Republic, a round table "Memorial diplomacy as a means of preserving the common historical memory of the peoples of the post-Soviet space" was held, organized by the South Osetian State University and the NCFU. The event was attended by scientists and experts in the field of humanitarian policy and international relations.
