Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Medicine of the South Ossetian State University Marina Sanakoeva took part in the Future Technologies Forum in the Moscow Business Center, the University press service reports.
The Future Technologies Forum was organized by Roscongress.
Marina Sanakoeva has noted that for her, as a chemist, it was interesting to take part in the business program "New Materials and Chemistry in Economic Sectors" as a representative of the South Ossetian University.
Sanakoeva participated in the work of the sections: basic chemistry for new generation materials, artificial intelligence for chemistry and materials science, biomedical materials and technologies, etc.
New materials, the latest achievements of scientists and companies, high-tech technologies, innovative developments were discussed at the Forum.
"Today, research conducted at the intersection of chemistry, medicine, biotechnology, biology and physics allows creating biomaterials for regenerative medicine, various implants, bionic prostheses and exoskeletons.
Smart materials that can change their properties when exposed to external factors, self-healing materials.
Manufacturing of implants from polymeric materials using additive technologies and prospects for the development of this technology for medicine," Sanakoeva said.
The Forum ended with a plenary session, at which Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Forum participants and emphasized the enormous importance of chemistry and the development of the chemical industry for the country.
"I am confident that the current Forum dedicated to new materials and chemistry will demonstrate a high level of interest and cooperation, and will allow us to reach specific initiatives, interregional and interstate projects.
It will serve to develop modern innovative solutions in strategic sectors of the economy, energy, medicine, space programs and other science-intensive areas."
The Forum was attended by 1,800 participants from 19 countries. About 30 panel discussions took place.
The Forum was held with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian Science Foundation of Gazprombank, Rosatom, Sber, and the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center.
Marina Sanakoeva expressed gratitude to Rector of the South Ossetian State University, Professor Vadim Tedeev and the leadership of the Russian House in Tskhinval for the unique opportunity to take part in such a high-level event.
