On the border of South Ossetia with Georgia in the village of Ergneti was held a regular meeting of the Mechanisms for Prevention and Response to Incidents. As told reporters after the meeting the head of the South Ossetian delegation, Deputy Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy of the RSO on post-conflict settlement Khokh Gagloyty, at the beginning of the meeting the new head of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia Kestutis Jankauskas was introduced to the participants.
"During the meeting was discussed the situation at the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia and Georgia - said Gagloyty. – The participants have agreed that the situation is stable and a number of detainees, violations at the state border is reduced. "
According to Gagloyty, at the meeting were considered individual incidents that took place since the last meeting.
"The South Ossetian delegation informed the meeting about the damage to fences at the state border in the area of Tsnelis Koda - said Gagloyty. - Were presented materials reflecting the nature of the damage caused. Such actions were appreciated by us as provocative, and we appealed to the participants to prevent such actions in the future. "
According to Gagloyty, the Georgian side also negatively assessed such actions.
"The Georgian side has assured us that they will do everything to prevent and eliminate such actions in the future" - said Gagloyty.
He has added that during the meeting has also been raised the issue of the missing citizens of South Ossetia.
"Unfortunately, the Georgian investigative authorities have no information on this issue, there is no progress in the question to clarify the fate of our missing citizens", - concluded Gagloyty.
