South Ossetia, after the recognition of independence by Russia, has gained peace and stability - Alan Gagloev
South Ossetia gained peace and stability after Russia's recognition of independence 15 years ago, President of the Republic Alan Gagloev told RIA Novosti.
After Tbilisi's armed aggression against Tskhinval on August 26, 2008, Russia recognized the sovereignty of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, which had been long seeking the independence, and has been providing large-scale financial and socio-economic assistance to the development of the republics.
