Acting President of South Ossetia Vadim Brovtsev surveyed the facilities restoration and new construction in Tskhinval. He was accompanied by Acting Minister of Road, Capital Construction and Architecture Dzhioev Rudolph, head of the State Committee for Restoration Zurab Kabisov and representatives of the general contracting organizations.
The inspection began with the dwelling apartment building, which is under construction at number 6 Pushkin Street. The house was completely destroyed by fire during the Georgian aggression in August 2008 and was not subjected to restoration; therefore, it was decided to demolish it and build in its place a new, modern three-storeyed building. At present the internal finishing work is being carried out.
According to contractors, the building will be commissioned in the first quarter of this year. Vadim Brovtsev was also interested in the progress of work on improving the Pioneer Park. The head of the Ministry of Construction Dzhioev Rudolph reported that the park would be put in order in the near future. "At present, the old road kerbs of the park are being replaced by the new ones, paving tiles are being laid and benches are being installed. Then it is planned to start planting the park. Trees and ornamental plants have already been purchased, "- Dzhioev has said. Then the participants surveyed 18 private houses that are being erected at Alanian Street and also the children's swimming pool, being built at the northern outskirts of Tskhinval. Director of a construction company, "Bagheera-Plus", engaged in building of the pool, Oleg Shitov has assured that the facility is scheduled to put in service by the end of March. "The construction works will be completed in February. We also plan to landscape the area, lay out a public garden with benches in the yard of the building"- Shitov has noted. Brovtsev has reminded that this is the first children's swimming pool in the Republic, so the object must be exemplary. The delegation also inspected the new building of the State ensemble of song and dance "Simd" (planned to be put in operation in March), micro-district "Northern" and the Jewish quarter.
