Issues of implementing the investment program on promoting socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2012 have been discussed at today's meeting in Tskhinval by the Acting President of the Republic of South Ossetia Vadim Brovtsev and Department Director of special programs and projects of territorial development of the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia Maxim Kryukov, who arrived in the Republic with a working visit. As reported to IA "Res" at the presidential press service and the government of South Ossetia, priorities relating to rehabilitation and socio-economic development of the Republic were discussed at the meeting.
It was noted that work on implementation of this program should be carried out smoothly within the designated time, all streets should be put in a proper order and all necessary conditions for life of the Republic must be created. "The issue of improving the town streets is urgent. Conditions must be created so that people can use normal streets and normal water. Funding for upgrading of Tskhinval has already been increased. The issues related to completion of 429 private homes that were destroyed during the Georgian aggression have also been discussed, "- the press service has stated. It should be noted that since August 2008, the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation has been taking an active part in the process of rehabilitation and socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia.
