South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nicaragua in South Ossetia, Luis Alberto Molina Cuadro. During the meeting they discussed issues of cooperation and implementation the agreements on cooperation and visa-free travel signed between the two countries. The meeting was also attended by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Murat Dzhioev and the Ambassador of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation Dmitry Medoev.
Leonid Tibilov has thanked the Ambassador of Nicaragua for his visit to the Republic, having noted that he instructed the Foreign Ministry to prepare proposals and make every effort to implement these agreements. "I am confident that we will continue our cooperation", - said the president. In turn, the Ambassador of Nicaragua expressed gratitude for his warm welcome in South Ossetia.
"We'll always be near you. Our president Daniel Ortega and the Foreign Minister Samuel Santos asked to convey to you my sincere congratulations,"- said Molina Cuadro. He noted that in the near future should be identified the tasks which would contribute to implementation of the signed agreements between the two countries. "I think, one of the main areas of cooperation could be a cultural exchange between our countries. I really like the Ossetian dance. It is my understanding that some idea is expressed through this dance. I think it is a power of South Ossetia, its desire to live, to go ahead. And our dance also expresses something. I think, if we start cultural communication, we will take step forward", - said the Ambassador. He has added that it is possible to come to Nicaragua with a photo exhibition. "Our people have to see what happened here in August 2008. A photograph can convey it better than words and a piece of paper "- said Molina Cuadro. Leonid Tibilov noted that in the near future he would give appropriate instructions to start the concrete cooperation. "I think we will always support each other and work together to move forward", - assured Tibilov. The President has asked him to convey his gratitude to the leadership of Nicaragua, having noted that the peoples of South Ossetia and Nicaragua passed actually the same path to independence.
