Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev has arrived in South Ossetia In Tskhinval he met with President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov and members of the government of South Ossetia.
Welcoming the guest the President said that the meeting was another evidence of implementation of the agreements reached earlier between the two countries.
"Another evidence of this is the visit of a large delegation from the Russian Federation, which has been working here for a few days. At the same time our representatives went to Moscow and discussed there many areas of our joint activities. This suggests that the issues facing the Republic are already in a fair way to be resolved,"- said the president.
He has expressed satisfaction with the level of understanding of the authorities of the two countries, stressing that all decisions are aimed at improving the living standards of the population of South Ossetia.
"All our efforts are directed to ensure care for our people on the part of the government; there is some progress in this direction and we're not going to stop," - said Tibilov.
In turn, Rashid Nurgaliyev noted that since his last visit to South Ossetia,some encouraging developments were noticeable in the Republic. He also informedthose present on the first meeting of the interdepartmental commission, held in Moscow, which had been working on the integrated development of South Ossetia.
"We have determined, in what areas we will intensify our efforts to implement a comprehensive plan for the development of the Republic" - said Nurgaliyev.
Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council also told about his recent meeting with the Prime Minister of South Ossetia Rostik Khugaev during his visit to Moscow. They discussed the solutions of the problems facing the Republic.
"So, today we're not starting from scratch, the dynamic development of a comprehensive plan for socio-economic development in 2013 and 2014 is under way" – underlined Nurgaliyev.
Then the participants of the meeting discussed the follow-up program for the next day, including the inspection of socio-economic facilities, being under construction in South Ossetia, and the joint meetings with the leadership of the Republic.
It should be reminded that on August 13-18 the Russian government delegation led by Deputy Minister of Regional Development of Russia Sergey Vereshchagin was working in South Ossetia. Representatives of 17 Russian ministries and departments reviewed the results of the implementation of the investment program to promote socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2011, including the review and analysis of the rehabilitation and construction of infrastructure and social facilities. In addition, the delegation conducted an analysis of the current situation of the implementation of the investment program for the next few years.
