Deputy Prime Minister of South Ossetia Alla Dzhioeva and Interagency working group of the Russian Federation, headed by the representative of the Border Service of the Russian Federation Grigory Ganovichev visited the villages of Leningor and Tsinagar in Leningor district of South Ossetia, where they met with local residents. They were accompanied by Deputy Head of the district Alan Alborov, Health Minister Grigory Kulidzhanov, director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Production Association" YugosetNefteprodukt "Alan Bekoev, Presidential Aide for Social Affairs Rodion Siukaev.
According to Ganovichev, the delegation visited these settlements to become familiar with the problems of their residents.
"We want tounderstand personally the mood of the people living in the border areas, to learn their problems and difficulties, in general, their attitude to the existing border" - said Ganovichev.
Residents of Leningor noted the need to establish a border crossing post for communicating with their relatives living in Georgia.
In this regard, Alla Dzhioeva has noted that the leadership of the Republic pays special attention to this issue.
Alan Alborov, in turn, said the head of the district was currently in the Republic of Abkhazia, where he was studying the issue of the border crossing regime in Gali district.
"May be this option will be applied in our district," - said Alborov.
The dwellers of Leningor and Tsinagar told the guests about their social, economic and other problems.
Deputy Prime Minister told them that the Republic was developing a national program "Housing".
"Considerable quantity of houses will be builtin Leningor district in 2013-2015, - assured Dzhioeva. - I hope that through the money allocated to the investment program of socio-economic development of the Republic, we will be able to solve your problems. "
No less important to the residents of Leningor are the issues of passport system, medical service and social assistance provided by the state.
"For getting the South Ossetian passports our residents are forced to abandon the Georgian ones. They cannot do this, since 100 percent of the population of Leningor receive the Georgian pensions "- explained the resident of Leningor Ketino Tigieva.
The inhabitants of Tsinagar, in turn, voiced the lack of irrigation system in the village.
"The lack of an irrigation canal in the village creates great difficulties for us, the crop is often lost because of it," - said the villager Nugzar Gussoev.
The villagers also pointed out to lack of conditions for the development of entrepreneurship.
"Four years ago a lot of swine died of African fever in our village, but the government did not provide any help to us," - said a resident of the village Omar Gussoev.
Residents of the border villages Leningor and Tsinagar have deeply appreciated the service of the Russian border guards.
"Since the Russian border guards are stationed on our land we have been living in peace, our children can sleep well at night, because they know that the frontier of our state is under the reliable protection of the border guards, "- said the dweller of Tsinagar Zoya Valieva.
Gregory Ganovichev, in turn, assured the residents of the settlements that the Border Service of the Russian Federation would continue doing everything possible to maintain peace on Ossetian soil.
